Women Build 2025
Habitat for Humanity’s
Women Build program
engages, mobilizes, trains
and empowers women.
While men aren't excluded,
the program strives to
create an inclusive and
collaborative atmosphere
specifically for women to
help themselves and their
neighbors improve their
living conditions.
Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program leverages its
resources and strategic partnerships to equip women to serve
in their communities, enabling them to address local affordable
homeownership challenges.
The program provides opportunities for women volunteers to participate in homebuilding and repair activities
to help build stronger, safer communities.
Women Build provides comfortable environments and
opportunities for women to take proactive steps in serving their
communities.
Our volunteers gain knowledge and skills they can use
to repair and maintain their own homes. Every woman can make a
difference by learning and using construction skills.
Three in 5 women surveyed by Habitat say they cannot afford to purchase a
home that meets their family’s needs in their current neighborhood.
—An online survey conducted by Toluna on April 5-8, 2018, among a random sample of 1,019 American women 18 and older.
